Seven Acres Swifts is a local group encouraging children between the ages of 8 and 12 to become more knowledgeable about wildlife.

The group is run as part of the Watch network and is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trust.

Seven Acres Swifts meet on the second Sunday of most months from 10 a.m til noon at the Environmental Resource Centre, Bury Road.(Some months the meeting may move to a different day so please check before hand)

Meetings usually consist of some time spent out in Seven Acres and also a wildlife-themed craft. Previous meeting themes have included birds, wild flowers, fungi and a session making faces from clay and natural materials found on site.

There is a small charge of £1 per meeting to cover running costs.

Children under 8 may stay but must be accompanied by an adult known to them on a one to one basis (this is due to Insurance Regulations).
All Watch Leaders have been CRB checked and there is always a qualified First Aider at meetings.
